Purpose: to utilize machine learning, multiple linear regression models, & critical thinking to investigate the relationship between listing prices & bookings and the level of COVID-19 cases at a county level in the Austin, Texas area.

Covid-19s Impact on AirBnB Listings: Research

Austin, Texas was chosen for the sample population because it is a fast-growing metropolitan city with lax travel restrictions that was hit by the corona virus. 400,000 reviews were analyzed and rated on their cleanliness. Neural Network and N-gram Modeling machine learning was utilized to effectively sort through the data and give each listing an accurate cleanliness score. The data was then compiled and conclusions were drawn.
